Retake and improve with a plan

A structured retake is the fastest way to a better percentile. Use this simple plan for your next attempt.

1. Analyse your last attempt

List your score per section and the question types you got wrong or skipped. Your weakest section is your biggest opportunity.

2. Fix the basics (weeks 1–6)

Revise core concepts in your weak areas daily for 1–2 hours before moving to harder questions.

3. Take sectional tests (weeks 7–10)

Do 2–3 timed sectional tests a week and review every mistake the same day.

4. Full mocks every week

Take one full-length mock a week, then two in the final month. Review each mock for longer than you took to attempt it.

5. Build an attempt strategy

Decide your section order, time per section and when to skip a question — then stick to it in every mock.

6. Apply to more exams

Register for 2–3 exams (e.g. CAT with XAT, SNAP or NMAT) to increase your chances in one cycle.
